It will be a long and winding road to energy independence and a stronger reliance upon renewable energy sources. Most agree that we need to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and strengthen our use of renewable energy, but what are the perspectives in industry, political policy, and public opinion on the routes to get there?

Bringing Home the Green Recovery: A User’s Guide to the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is available from Green For All and PolicyLink to assist local and state advocates, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and policymakers in making the best use of recovery dollars. While the guide is not a complete survey of funding provisions in the Recovery Act to be used for planning renewable energy projects, it does provide a useful overview of the recovery programs being funded and provides recommendations for building an inclusive green economy.
