Bringing Home the Green Recovery: A User’s Guide to the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is available from Green For All and PolicyLink to assist local and state advocates, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and policymakers in making the best use of recovery dollars. While the guide is not a complete survey of funding provisions in the Recovery Act to be used for planning renewable energy projects, it does provide a useful overview of the recovery programs being funded and provides recommendations for building an inclusive green economy.
The guide is organized into four parts:
- The Recovery Act: A Bird’s Eye View
- Recommendations for Equitable Implementation Advocacy
- Hooks and Pressure Points
- Overview of Green Recovery Programs
If you wonder how or how much assistance is coming for energy efficiency of homes, how dislocated workers will receive training, or how how we'll build a "Smart Grid" for renewable energy, this User's Guide provides the basic answers. It's free and available to download at Green for All.
