Caprock Plains Wind Energy Association Annual Membership Meeting

Floydada, TX - A free meeting with speakers from Tres Amigas, a superstation which will serve as the nation's first renewable energy market hub, and OwnEnergy, a wind energy developer looking to help communities generate their own renewable power, will be hosted by Caprock Plains Wind Energy Association (CPWEA) on August 12th at 6p.m.

The meeting, which will serve as CPWEA's annual membership meeting, is open to the public and will be held at the Floyd County Friends Unity Center in Muncy, Texas on Hwy 70 and FM 786 between Floydada and Lockney.

Public Forum on Renewable Energy Opportunities at UMore Park

Rosemount, MN - Join the University of Minnesota and others interested in renewable energy for a community forum on Thursday, July 29, to highlight the launch of wind energy research and the siting of a cutting-edge wind turbine at UMore Park. The U's Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment provided significant early-stage funding to support the formation of the wind energy research consortium which includes public and private sector organizations.

Integrating Renewable Energy: A Roadmap to Scaled Application

Bloomington, MN - Minnesota Environmental Initiative’s (MEI) second session of the 2010 Business and Environment Series will provide attendees with an overview of renewable energy options and a roadmap and decision-making tools to enable scaled application of various renewable energy technologies. A panel of business leaders will also share case studies describing their own experiences implementing renewables. In addition, each attendee will have the opportunity to develop strategies for possible application in their company.

Galloo Island Wind Farm Informational Briefing for Contractors

Watertown, NY - Upstate NY Power and The Jefferson County Industrial Development Agency are seeking local contractors, vendors and suppliers to be involved with the Galloo Island Wind Farm project. An event open to all companies in our region will be held by the JCIDA and Upstate NY Power on Friday, May 7th at the Watertown Elks Club. The event will encourage local employers to participate in the may required aspects maintaining a business to business aspect. The project will be inclusive of the development of 82 turbines.

IATP joined climate activists, state and federal legislators, local officials, academics, students, businesses, researchers, NGOs and others from across the state in travelling to Copenhagen to address the challenge of global climate change.
