IATP joined climate activists, state and federal legislators, local officials, academics, students, businesses, researchers, NGOs and others from across the state in travelling to Copenhagen to address the challenge of global climate change.

We are offering the opportunity for wind developers, consultants, transmission service providers, manufacturers, etc. to set up a booth free of charge. The event will be free and open to the public. Come out and meet local community members and landowners who can serve as a integral part of wind energy development in the area.

MRES 30th Anniversary Gala

St. Paul, MN - Paul Hawken, New York Times Best Selling author, will speak at the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) 30th Anniversary gala and symposium on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. Paul. The dinner gala begins at 5:00 pm with keynote speech by Paul Hawken and emcee Don Shelby; early bird gala dinner tickets are $45 for MRES members and $75 for non-members. Tickets are $55 for members and $85 for non-members after January 31, 2010

Wood, Water, Wind: Alternative Energy and Impacts on the Kennebec Estuary

Wind power will be the topic of the final installment of the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust's popular fall lecture series, Wood, Water, Wind: Alternative Energy and Impacts on the Kennebec Estuary. The November 19th talk will be held at 7:00 pm at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Maine.

Wind energy has been boosted by state and national energy policies. The Obama Administration set a national goal of twenty percent wind energy by the year 2030, and Governor John E. Baldacci wants Maine to provide 3,000 megawatts of wind energy by 2020, with at least 300 megawatts offshore.

Energy Park Roundtables

Roundtable question and answer sessions, facilitated by a design expert in the energy field, will be held in the Energy Park tent.
