The Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA) is coordinating the 4th Annual Michigan Energy Fair, which will take place June 26th - 28th, 2009, in Onekama , Michigan. The three-day event will unite people from throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes region to learn about energy issues and sustainable living. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend educational workshops, meet vendors offering valuable goods, services, and information, eat local food and hear great live music.
The Manistee County Fairgrounds are located near the shores of scenic Portage Lake in Onekama. The fairgrounds are tucked into Lake Michigan's beautiful Gold Coast country. The Event will feature both outdoor and indoor exhibitor spaces, abundant parking, local food vendors, entertainment and more. Educational workshops will be held on a wide variety of topics including green building, solar energy options, wind energy options, energy efficiency architecture and upgrades, co-generation, biomass options and other alternative energy technologies.
The 2008 Michigan Energy Fair drew an attendance of over 6000 people from around the State and the Great Lakes region. Exhibitors and presenters will represent the following categories:
