Sioux Falls, SD - Is our country headed for an energy crisis or is there a renaissance in process? Will the cost of heating our homes become greater than our house payment? Is our economy destined for dramatic increases in energy prices? Is the U.S. doing enough to encourage a meaningful and comprehensive energy plan? Are renewable fuels such as wind, hydrogen and biomass viable alternatives or small and expensive contributors?
Join the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission for Crisis or Renaissance? The State of America's Energy, a comprehensive conference May 11-13, 2009, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Respected experts will share facts about the state of America's energy covering subjects such as environmental issues and climate changes to nuclear energy and the need for coal. You'll also hear presentations on wind energy, fossil fuels and global outlooks for energy development.
Conference activities include a welcome reception on Monday evening, and morning and afternoon sessions, with luncheons, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Commissioner Marc Spitzer of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will be a keynote speaker.
