MRES 30th Anniversary Gala


St. Paul, MN - Paul Hawken, New York Times Best Selling author, will speak at the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) 30th Anniversary gala and symposium on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. Paul. The dinner gala begins at 5:00 pm with keynote speech by Paul Hawken and emcee Don Shelby; early bird gala dinner tickets are $45 for MRES members and $75 for non-members. Tickets are $55 for members and $85 for non-members after January 31, 2010

The afternoon symposium, beginning at 2:00 pm is free and open to the pubic with panelists including: Eric Utne, founding publisher of Utne Reader; Michael Noble, executive director of Fresh Energy; John Carmody – director, Center for Sustainable Building Research at U of MN; Duane Ninneman, Science Policy Analyst for Clean Up the River Environment (CURE); Minnesota Representative Melissa Hortman, District 47B, Assistant House Majority Leader; Siri Simon, U of MN student environmental activist; and moderated by Christopher Childs, author, public policy strategist, and environmentalist.
