Promoting Energy Justice in the Navajo Nation

Call for Delegates: Women’s Earth Alliance Sacred Earth Advocacy Network — 2010 ADVOCACY DELEGATIONS

Engage with indigenous women leaders committed to restoring balance and justice. Learn how women’s lives are disproportionately impacted by systemic environmental injustices affecting indigenous lands and communities. Build a foundation for collaboration on legal and policy advocacy initiatives.

Calling all women advocates with a passion for environmental justice! Join a Women’s Earth Alliance Advocacy Delegation in 2010 – a unique opportunity to meet and collaborate with indigenous women on the frontlines of environmental justice campaigns in North America. Women attorneys, policy advocates, and other advocacy professionals in the field of wind power are welcome to join us for Promoting Energy Justice in the Navajo Nation in September. Delegates will witness systemic threats to land and life from fossil fuel energy development on Navajo land, engage in dialogue with women leaders implementing innovative green economic development-based responses to these threats, and provide crucial advocacy support in service of earth, women and community.

California CLE credit may be available.
