Landowner scale wind turbine energy production systems, grants and funding for sources for wind generation projects will be discussed.
This workshop is designed to answer basic questions on small wind energy systems and to discuss local, state and federal programs available to finance small-scale projects.
Featured topics will include background information on small-scale wind development in Iowa, the economics of installing a system on your farm or acreage to reduce the purchased power, and financing and grants available for renewable systems.
Speakers from the Iowa Energy Center, local wind consultant Tom Hurd, local landowners who have installed a system, and a local utility company will provide information on how these energy generation projects can be planned.
