Timonium, MD - The Expo will be held at the Timonium Fairgrounds May 7 through May 9, located right in the heart of the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. The Solar & Wind Expo exists to make green a reality by matching home and business owners with producers, financiers and top experts in the field of green technologies. Keynote speaker will be Bob Dixson, the Mayor of Greensburg, Kansas, which was nearly completely destroyed by one of the strongest tornados in recorded history in May 2007. Dixson has played a major role in leading the massive rebuilding effort and maintaining the movement started by residents: that all structures built or rebuilt in Greensburg will be LEED platinum certification, which is the highest certification offered by the United States Green Building Council. In addition, Mayor Dixson has led city council to pass resolutions making it possible for the city be powered 100% with wind energy.
