In order to generate public input about the current and future considerations of wind development, the South Dakota Wind Energy Association (SDWEA) will hold public meetings throughout the state.
Citizens are strongly urged to attend in order to comment about the direction that South Dakota has taken and should take regarding wind energy.
“Are we moving too fast? Are we moving too slowly? Do we need legislation? These are all very important questions for the people of South Dakota,” Wegman said. Wegman will provide a “State of the State Wind Address” to focus on how South Dakota compares with neighboring states in the area of wind development and what will be required to maximize the state’s potential.
The meeting will be on April 22 at 7 p.m. at Triple H Truck Stop, 601 East Fifth Street, Murdo, SD, 605-669-2465.
