Madison, WI - On Friday, June 18th, at 1:00 in room 5120 of Grainger Hall, we will launch this summer's Wind Energy speaker series. Tom Eggert will provide a broad overview of the wind sector, the growth of jobs in companies that supply the wind sector, and the efforts that Wisconsin is putting into attracting wind companies to Wisconsin. We will also have time to draw on knowledge that you will bring to the session.

This webinar was hosted by Windustry with support from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory on May 18, 2010. The webinar provided a discussion of discuss environmental assessments for land-based wind energy development in and near communities along the Great Lakes.

Wisconsin PSC Seeks Wind Siting Rules Comments

Madison - The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) is seeking public comment on the proposed wind siting rules, issued today by the PSC. The proposed rules will ultimately result in uniform wind siting standards for local units of government in Wisconsin and ensure consistent local procedures for regulation of wind energy systems.
