Give to the Max Day
During the 2012 presidential election, not a single mention of climate change was made by either candidate. But in his victory speech in the early morning hours of November 7, President Obama was clear: “We want our children to live in an America that isn't…threatened by the destructive power of a warming planet.” Now is the time to move on this issue. Now or never. Windustry pledges to do its part to advance clean energy and to help slow the warming of our planet. Your donation to Windustry today will help fund our current activities, such as:
- Advancing clean energy policy at the local, state, and Federal levels.
- Research on practical mutual ownership business models for community wind, the development of case studies that exemplify successful approaches, and making this information broadly available for replication throughout the U.S.
- Maintaining of our primary vehicle for providing support and education to those interested community wind: Windustry’s very popular and heavily used website. The site is chock-full of one-of-a-kind resources that are accessed regularly by those seeking to develop a small or community wind project, as well as by elected officials at all levels of government who need to make decisions on how wind is developed in their communities.
- Creating, producing, and staffing the Wind Energy Center in the Eco Experience building at the Great Minnesota Get-together! This annual exhibit (2006-2012) allows Windustry to present wind energy as an environmental solution to more than 350,000 Eco Experience visitors over the 12 days of the Fair. 2012 marked our seventh year at the Minnesota State Fair. Please visit us there in 2013.
