South Dakota PUC Interconnection Workshop
The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission will host an interconnection workshop March 18-19, 2008, in Pierre. The workshop will be held at the Kings Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 110 E. Sioux Ave. This will be the first of several workshops designed to develop a statewide best practices model for connecting small generating facilities to the electric grid.

SolWest Renewable Energy Fair
"Neighbors Powering Community" is the theme of the tenth annual SolWest Renewable Energy Fair July 25-27, 2008 at the Grant County Fairgrounds in John Day, OR. Admission includes over 50 free workshops on both off-grid and grid-intertied renewable energy (RE) and sustainable living topics. A pre-fair workshop will install a grid-intertied solar backup power system.

The Arkansas Energy Office is sponsoring a day-long Arkansas Wind Energy Conference on January 17, 2008 at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Keynote speaker Larry Flowers of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory will discuss global and national trends for wind energy.
