Anheuser-Busch entered into a partnership with San Francisco-based Foundation Windpower in 2011 to buy the output of a GE 1.5-MW wind turbine at its Fairfield, California Budweiser brewery to significantly reduce the brewery’s dependence on commercially produced electricity. Although sited at Anheuser-Busch’s brewery, the turbine is owned and operated by Foundation Windpower. The turbine supplies nearly 20 percent of the brewery’s electricity.
