Windustry is honored to have received a second Wedgeshare grant of $3,500 from the Wedge Community Coop in Minneapolis. The Wedge Community Coop is a visionary community treasure with 35 years of service to the local community. Wedgeshare, their charitable giving program, is based on Cooperative principle #7: "While focusing on member needs, cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies accepted by their members." The Wedge’s mission as a natural foods co-op is to provide a diverse selection of highest quality, fairly-priced products and a deepening understanding of their importance to our members, employees and community. Thank you to the Wedge Board, workers and members for this invaluable contribution to our work to advance community wind energy in Minnesota!

Windustry would also like to thank the John Larsen Foundation for a generous grant of $5,000 to support Windustry’s general operations. This is particularly good news for Windustry as the Larsen Foundation is a new donor and partner to our mission. The John Larsen Foundation is a private grant-making organization with a mission to better the lives of individuals and families, both traditional and non-traditional. We truly appreciate this support!

We are also thrilled to receive a $1,000 grant from 1 Bag at a Time in Los Angeles, California, in connection with One Percent for the Planet. 1 Bag at a Time is committed to supplying the highest quality reusable bags available and to promoting awareness about the full impact of disposable bags. They believe in the power of consumer and corporate responsibility as a positive force in the world. So far, One Bag at a Time has sold over 4,160,657 reusable bags. Over the next 2 years, these bags together will save 624 million plastic bags - enough petroleum to drive a car 124,819,710 miles, saving up to $707,312 in disposal costs.  Thank you to One Bag at a Time!
