Indianapolis, IN - WIndiana was launched in 2008 by the Indiana Office of Energy Development and the Indiana Wind Working Group. The wind industry in Indiana was just getting up to speed at the time; there was one wind farm and very little wind industry manufacturing in the state. There were 300 people and 15 exhibitors that first year. WIndiana continued to grow in 2009 and 2010 both in attendance and in the size of the exhibition floor.
