About the Presenters

  • Lisa M. Daniels, executive director and founder of Windustry, provides wind energy information and technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, elected officials, rural utilities, and other groups, and administers contracts with the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Daniels serves on the American Wind Energy Association Community Wind Work Group Steering Committee, the National Wind Coordinating Committee's Steering Committee, and the Women of Wind Energy.
  • Joe Wiedman, partner with the law firm Keyes and Fox, represents the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) at the state level in connection with sustainable renewable energy markets, net metering rules, interconnection standards, and community renewable programs. Wiedman also works with IREC in emerging program areas such as wholesale distributed generation market design, smart grid, and plug-in electric vehicles.
