Where is WoWE going? It’s a developing story.

Women of Wind Energy is growing faster than we ever expected, adding new members and chapters for greater networking locally and nationally. The WoWE Steering Committee is exploring options for the organization’s future growth – greater program collaboration, new communications tools to link our network together, and different ways to share the stories of women of wind energy more broadly.

We are also exploring WoWE’s organizational structure and whether we should remain a program within Windustry or become an independent nonprofit organization. WoWE’s local chapters and future subcommittees will play a key role in building our new future together. Please watch this website for further news about our refined structure and staffing plans.

In the meantime, NRG Systems, Inc. of Hinesburg, Vermont and DNV Global Energy Concepts of Seattle, Washington have donated staff time to support Women of Wind Energy. Ann Jones-Weinstock of NRG Systems has been named WoWE’s Interim Director – please contact her with any questions at [email protected] or through WoWE’s main number, 612-870-3467.
